There is a stigma in today's society that unpaid carers are somehow cheating the system. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Being a carer is a taxing and demanding job - and it is a career! Here I aim to destigmatise the role carers play, from my own perspective as a carer for and autistic, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) and ADHD daughter, as well as for my bipolar, EUPD and epileptic wife.
