Did you know that dopamine plays a significant role in how autism, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) and, especially, ADHD, affect individuals?
Dopamine is a chemical produced by the brain that let's our body feel ans interpret pleasure. It affects our ability to focus and concentrate.
For individuals who may be autistic, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) or ADHD - or any number of other forms of neurodiversity - dopamine can intensify or reduce certain aspects of the conditions.
In this episode I look at dopamine, what it is, what it does, and how it can be a benefit and hindrance to neurodivergent people.
